Triputra Group and Persada Group Allocate Rp8 Billion in Aid for NTT Earthquake Victims
Triputra Group, Persada Capital Investama (PCI), and its subsidiary PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAP) have distributed humanitarian aid for communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
This support is part of a total commitment of Rp8 billion, distributed through the TNI Headquarters, the NTT Regional Police, YPKAAR, and Christo Re Maumere Polytechnic. The aid is being provided in stages to support the needs of communities in several affected areas, including the Sikka, Manggarai, and West Manggarai regencies.
The earthquake, measuring magnitude 7.7, struck the Flores region and its surroundings on 15 August 2026, impacting various areas across NTT. Based on disaster management data, approximately 225,000 people were affected across 14 regencies/cities, with over 18,000 residents displaced and thousands of homes and public facilities damaged.
As part of the response, TAP has channelled aid through the TNI Headquarters in Halim and the NTT Regional Police at the West Manggarai Police Station in Labuan Bajo. These essential supplies have been delivered in stages to ensure aid reaches the communities in need directly.
The distribution of aid continues to expand; in addition to the TNI and Regional Police, Triputra Group and PCI are delivering aid directly to disaster points via YPKAAR and Christo Re Maumere Polytechnic. This effort has reached several affected locations in Sikka, Manggarai, and West Manggarai, with assistance tailored to the specific needs on the ground.
Triputra Group Director, Tjandra Karya Hermanto, stated that this humanitarian action focuses on meeting the real needs of the community to accelerate the post-disaster recovery process. “In principle, we want to help our brothers and sisters who are experiencing difficulties, wherever they may be. We hope this aid can lighten the burden of the affected community and assist the recovery process in NTT,” Tjunctra said in a written statement on Friday (18/9/2026).
NTT Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, emphasised that during a disaster, what the community needs is not just aid, but the assurance that they are not alone. “On behalf of the NTT Regional Police, I express my highest appreciation and gratitude to all parties providing support and working alongside us for the people of NTT on Flores Island. Every bit of aid that arrives is not merely a way to lighten the burden, but also brings hope and strength to rise again,” Rudi asserted.
Similarly, the TNI Headquarters Social Affairs Officer, Colonel Inf Agus Setiandar, expressed appreciation for the care and aid provided by TAP to the earthquake victims in Flores, NTT. “Today we witness tangible proof that amidst the trial of natural disasters, our nation’s care never ceases. On behalf of the TNI Leadership, I convey my deepest respect and thanks to the Board of Directors and the extended family of PT Triputra Agro Persada for their generosity. This aid is not just material, but a source of spirit and new hope for the victims,” Agus concluded.
He added that TNI personnel on the ground will act swiftly to oversee and distribute this mandate so that it is received directly by those most in need. As disaster management enters the recovery phase, subsequent support will be directed towards community needs and affected facilities. The focus of the aid includes the repair of places of worship, schools, health facilities, and public infrastructure.
For Triputra Group and PCI, supporting communities affected by disasters is part of their spirit to grow alongside Indonesia. Through the spirit of ‘Strengthening Together, Recovering Together’ (#BersamaBangkitkanNTT) and the ‘TAP for the Nation’ initiative, the aid is expected to be part of a collective effort to alleviate the community’s burden and support the recovery process.
Post-disaster recovery is not a journey that must be undertaken alone. Through this aid, Triputra Group, PCI, and TAP hope to assist the people of NTT through this difficult period and help them rebuild their lives with hope for the future.
