Triputra Group and Persada Group Allocate Rp8 Billion in Aid for NTT Earthquake Victims
Triputra Group, Persada Capital Investama (PCI), and its subsidiary PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAP) have distributed humanitarian aid for communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The total support prepared reaches Rp8 billion and is being channelled through the TNI Headquarters, the NTT Regional Police, YPKAAR, and Christo Re Maumere Polytechnic.
The aid is being distributed in stages to several affected areas, including the Sikka, Manggarai, and West Manggarai Regencies. For TAP, the assistance is being provided through the TNI Headquarters and the NTT Regional Police, while Triputra Group and PCI are also providing direct aid through YPKAAR and Christo Re Maumere Polytechnic.
A magnitude 7.7 earthquake that shook the Flores region and its surroundings on 15 August 2026 impacted communities across various parts of NTT. Based on disaster management reference data, approximately 225,000 people were affected across 14 regencies/cities, with over 18,000 residents displaced and thousands of homes and public facilities damaged.
TAP is distributing aid through the TNI Headquarters in Halim and the NTT Regional Police via the West Manggarai Police in Labuan Bajo. These basic necessities are being handed over in stages to be forwarded to the communities in the affected areas.
Aid distribution is also being carried out directly to several disaster points through YPKAAR and Christo Re Maumere Polytechnic. The assistance has reached several locations in the Sikka, Manggarai, and West Manggarai Regencies, with the types of aid tailored to the needs of the people on the ground.
The Board of Directors of Triputra Group stated that the aid is focused on meeting the needs of the community in the field to support the post-disaster recovery process. “In principle, we want to help our brothers and sisters who are experiencing difficulties, wherever they may be. We hope this aid can lighten the burden of the affected community and assist the recovery process in NTT,” said Triputra Group Management in a statement received on Friday (18/9/2026).
NTT Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, expressed appreciation for the support from various parties in handling the earthquake-affected communities in Flores. “As the NTT Regional Police Chief, I express my appreciation, thanks, and highest respect to all parties who have provided support, aid, and joined hands with us for the people of NTT on Flores Island. Every aid that arrives is not merely lightening a burden, but also bringing hope and strength to rise again. It is in times like these that humanity unites us,” he said.
Head of Bakti Ster TNI Headquarters, Colonel Inf Agus Setiandar, also expressed appreciation for the aid from TAP to the earthquake-affected people in Flores, NTT. “Today we witness tangible proof that amidst the trial of natural disasters, the care of our nation never ceases. On behalf of the TNI Leadership, I express my deep respect and gratitude to the Board of Directors and the extended family of PT Triputra Agro Persada for their helping hand and generosity towards our brothers and sisters struck by the earthquake in Flores, NTT. This aid is not just material, but a source of spirit and new hope for the victims. Let us pray together that the situation at the disaster site improves soon,” said Agus.
Agus added that TNI personnel in the field will oversee and distribute the aid to the people in need.
As disaster management enters the recovery phase, subsequent support is being directed towards the needs of the community and affected facilities. The focus of the aid includes the repair of places of worship, schools, health facilities, and public utilities.
