Tribrata Putra Sambo Commissioned as Police Officer, Draws Comparisons to His Father's Youth
The latest portrait of Tribrata Putra Sambo after being officially commissioned as a junior officer in the Indonesian National Police has suddenly become a public talking point. It is not only because of his success in attaining the rank of Second Police Inspector (IPDA), but also because his face is considered to bear a strong resemblance to his father, Ferdy Sambo, when he was young and beginning his career in the police force.
The comparison emerged after Ferdy Sambo’s official Instagram account, managed by an admin, uploaded a side-by-side photo of Tribrata Putra in his police officer uniform and a portrait of Ferdy Sambo in his younger days wearing a police uniform. The post immediately attracted the attention of many social media users. Many commented that the resemblance between father and son was striking, from the shape of the face, the gaze, to the posture. Some netizens even called Tribrata the ‘reincarnation’ of the young Ferdy Sambo due to their physical similarities.
In the post, the young Ferdy Sambo is seen wearing a grey police uniform with a name tag reading ‘Sambo’. On the other side, Tribrata appears in a complete police officer uniform after being officially inaugurated as an IPDA. Although separated by a time span of decades, the appearances of the two were considered to have many similarities. The comparison quickly spread across various social media platforms and generated a variety of comments from the public.
On the other hand, the inauguration was an important moment as Tribrata officially followed in his father’s footsteps as a member of the Indonesian National Police. With this inauguration, he now begins his journey as a junior officer who will carry out duties within the Indonesian National Police institution. The inauguration was a proud moment for the Sambo family. However, behind the happiness, Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi were unable to attend in person as they are currently serving criminal sentences. As a form of support, both conveyed messages through handwritten letters which were then uploaded to their respective Instagram accounts, known to be managed by an admin.
