Trial Run: How Long Does the KRL Take from Jakarta Kota Station to JIS Station?

Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station officially began operations after being inaugurated by Acting Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung. The travel time from the transit point at Jakarta Kota Station is 45 minutes. detikcom conducted a trial journey using an eight-carriage train from Jakarta Kota Station to JIS Station on Tuesday (23/6/2026). The departure interval for trains from Jakarta Kota Station is every 30 minutes. For instance, detikcom departed at 10.30 WIB, following the previous train that left at 10.00 WIB. The train then travelled from Jakarta Kota Station, passing through Kampung Bandan Station and Ancol Station, before arriving directly at Tanjung Priok Station at 10.45 WIB. The train does not stop directly at JIS Station when passengers board from Jakarta Kota Station. This is because only one platform has been installed at the station, specifically for the route from Tanjung Priok towards Jakarta Kota Station. Consequently, the train must first transit at Tanjung Priok Station and wait approximately 15 minutes until 11.00 WIB before departing again towards Jakarta Kota Station. The journey from Tanjung Priok Station to JIS Station takes 5 minutes, arriving at JIS Station around 11.05 WIB. The atmosphere at JIS Station still appears brand new. Visible facilities include a security room, storage room, male and female prayer rooms (musala), as well as male, female, and disabled toilets. All rooms appear to be constructed using containers, differentiated only by their colours, ranging from orange to grey.
