Tri Tito Karnavian Pushes Posyandu Transformation Through Six Minimum Service Standards

Tri Tito Karnavian, Chair of the Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Development Team, has stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of Posyandu through six Minimum Service Standards (SPM) fields. She stated that this effort can strengthen institutional development and ensure government support is precisely targeted. Tri explained that the government has transformed the function of Posyandu, which previously focused solely on health, into a village and sub-district community institution. This transformation targets aspects of development and services that support the implementation of six SPM fields: education; health; public works; public housing; public order, security, and community protection (Trantibumlinmas); and social affairs. The transformation of Posyandu has been regulated under Home Affairs Ministerial Regulation No. 13 of 2024. This policy is also aligned with the national development direction as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2025 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025-2029, which emphasises the strengthening of integrated basic services. “Posyandu is part of the indication for intervention in priority activities to fulfil basic services and village infrastructure within national priorities, especially Asta Cita number 6,” Tri said in a statement on Wednesday. She conveyed this during a working visit on the Implementation of the 6 Minimum Service Standards (SPM) Posyandu in 2026 at Posyandu Babangan Lembang Lea, Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, on Monday. Tri stated that as part of the institutional arrangement of Posyandu, the Ministry of Home Affairs has established a policy for issuing national Posyandu registration numbers. Based on data from the Directorate General of Village Governance, as of June 2026, a total of 13,164 Posyandu across 22 provinces and 82 regencies/cities have received national registration numbers. Tri revealed that this registration is not only part of institutional structuring but also serves as a basis for the government to map the needs of each Posyandu. She expressed hope that the synergy between the central government, regional governments, the Posyandu Development Team, and all Posyandu cadres can be strengthened to ensure the optimal implementation of the 6 SPM Posyandu. She affirmed that the government will strive to provide support based on the needs and priorities of each region as a follow-up to the Posyandu data collection and registration. During the visit, Tri also appreciated the Posyandu registration achievements in Tana Toraja Regency, noting that it demonstrated the local government’s commitment to supporting the Posyandu transformation. “Thank you, the registration is extraordinary. Tana Toraja is one of the high-achieving regencies,” she concluded.
