The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) arrested the treasurer of drug trafficker Koh Erwin, Ais Setiawati, who was on the wanted list.

The Director of the NTB Regional Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Senior Commissioner Roman Elhaj, said Ais was arrested in Mataram on Thursday 26 February. He stated the arrest occurred simultaneously as the National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) team pursued Koh Erwin in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra.

“We have arrested one of the wanted persons named Ais, the treasurer, whom we apprehended in Mataram. The Bareskrim arrested Koh Erwin yesterday near the Malaysian border, and we secured another wanted person in Mataram,” he told journalists at Bareskrim Polri on Friday 27 February.

Roman stated Ais served as the recipient of money from drug sales from Anita, the wife of Bripka Irfan, a member of the Special Operations Unit of Bima City Police. Additionally, he said, Ais and Koh Erwin had met with former Narcotics Investigation Chief AKP Malaungi of Bima City Police to discuss fund transfers.

“That’s correct (they did meet) at the Marina Inn Hotel in Bima, Koko Erwin was there, Malaungi was there, Ais was there, and Anita,” he stated.

He added that during the arrest operation, Ais was alone and hiding in a rental accommodation. Roman noted that the person in question did not resist when apprehended by officers.

“No new evidence was found, only his mobile phone that he was carrying,” he explained.

After arrest, Ais was immediately taken to Jakarta for investigation by the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri designated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra as a suspect in drug abuse.

Didik was found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics that had been entrusted to Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.

The drug evidence found consisted of methamphetamine weighing 16.3 grams, 49 MDMA tablets and 2 residual tablets (23.5 grams), 19 Aprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets and 5 grams of ketamine.

Didik also tested positive for drug consumption based on hair follicle drug test results conducted at a laboratory.

Beyond this case, Didik was also designated a suspect in receiving proceeds from drug crime by Polda NTB on Monday 16 February.

Didik is said to have received drug money from trafficker Koh Erwin totalling IDR 2.8 billion through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, the Narcotics Investigation Chief of Bima City Police. The money was received by Didik over the period from June to November 2025.

Didik has since been dismissed dishonourably from the National Police. He remains detained at Bareskrim Polri’s detention facility.
