Traveloka partners with RWS to tap into experience-based tourism trend
Indonesia’s interest in experience-based travel to Singapore has risen through 2026. The trend is reflected in increasing searches for entertainment attractions, family destinations, and integrated travel packages via digital travel platforms. The uptick in demand has prompted travel industry players and destination managers to strengthen collaborations to ease travellers’ access to accommodation, entertainment, and travel services on a single platform. One destination noting rising interest is the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) integrated resort in Singapore. Traveloka’s platform data show that searches for RWS attractions in February 2026 doubled versus the same period last year. Baidi Li, Traveloka’s Vice President of Commercial, said that travellers are shifting toward trips that offer a more complete experience at a single destination. ‘The volume of searches for RWS in February 2026 doubled compared with the previous year. The high level of interest is the main driver behind the formation of this partnership,’ Baidi said in a statement on Saturday (23 May 2026). He explained that Traveloka and RWS have strengthened collaboration to simplify travellers’ access to various attractions, accommodation, and entertainment within a single travel platform. The partnership is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which is expected to address the trend of travellers seeking integrated recreational experiences, from entertainment and cuisine to family-friendly activities. Indonesia is identified as one of RWS’s key markets. In addition to Universal Studios Singapore, Indonesian interest in integrated travel concepts continues to grow. Jenny Wang, Acting Senior Vice President Resort Sales & Marketing for RWS, said that collaborating with a digital travel platform can widen the reach of Indonesian and Southeast Asian travellers. ‘By leveraging the platform’s scale and understanding of consumer behaviour, travellers can more easily discover and enjoy a range of travel offers,’ Jenny said. Through the collaboration, travellers will have access to travel packages that include flights, hotels, attractions, and entertainment on a single platform. In addition, several promotional travel programmes for the school holiday period are being prepared to capture the rising demand for family travel to Singapore.
