Travelling Home by Electric Car? Here's an Easy Way to Find the Nearest SPKLU

SOLO - Travelling home using electric cars is increasingly popular among the public, in line with the growing number of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) across various regions in Indonesia, which have now reached thousands of units.

This situation means that electric vehicle users no longer need to worry about running out of power during long-distance trips, including when traversing mudik routes or upon arriving at their destination city.

For beginners, knowing how to find the nearest SPKLU is an important matter to ensure a smooth journey.

Through the official app from PT PLN (Persero), users can easily search for SPKLU locations by simply activating GPS, entering the “Electric Vehicle” menu, and then selecting the “SPKLU” feature.

The system will automatically display the nearest charging points complete with maps and directions.

Simply activate GPS, then select the “Electric Vehicle Charging” service category. Google Maps will display various SPKLU locations, both nearby and along the travel route.

Users can also utilise the filter feature to adjust the distance and operating hours, making it easier to find active SPKLUs.

With the ease of access through these two apps, mudik trips using electric cars are now becoming increasingly practical, safe, and free from worries about running out of power in the middle of the road.
