Jakarta (ANTARA) - Eid al-Fitr travellers for 1447 Hijriah have praised the children’s play facilities available in the departure lounge at Terminal Terpadu Pulo Gebang (TTPG), East Jakarta, on Thursday.

One prospective traveller, Rika Faryati, stated that the facility is highly beneficial for parents bringing children aged 2 to 7 years.

“The children don’t get bored waiting for departure time, and parents feel more at ease,” she said when interviewed by ANTARA on Thursday afternoon.

According to Rika, it is rare for bus terminals to have a relatively comfortable and clean children’s play area, especially one close to the seating in the departure lounge.

“So, we can monitor our luggage or suitcases while keeping an eye on things,” said the traveller heading to Solo, Central Java.

“The children can channel their energy in a safe and comfortable place. Hopefully, the play equipment can be increased further,” she added.

The prospective traveller to Yogyakarta appreciated the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts in making the bus terminal a child- and parent-friendly space.

She hopes that all bus terminals can provide similar facilities evenly, so that prospective passengers feel more comfortable and safe using public transportation.

Terminal Terpadu Pulo Gebang (TTPG) in East Jakarta is one of the largest bus terminals in Jakarta. The public transportation hub is managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency (Dishub).
