Travellers Can Exchange New Currency at Rest Areas Today; Check Locations and Times

Travellers can now utilise the new currency exchange service being operated at rest areas today, Tuesday 17 March 2026.

The programme from Bank Indonesia Kediri facilitates the public in obtaining rupiah denominations, available in cash or through QRIS, with limited service locations and hours.

This programme is specifically designed to make it easier and provide service to the public who wish to exchange new currency in various denominations of their choice.

For those interested, they can visit the following locations directly.

The new currency exchange at rest areas will take place on 16-17 March 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00 WIB or until quotas are exhausted.

Exchange quotas are limited to 100 packages per day per location. The new currency exchange can be conducted in cash or via QRIS.

Bank Indonesia advises the public needing new currency exchange to contact the nearest conventional bank.
