Traveler mistaken for top terrorist

BAKAUHENI, Lampung: A man on a pilgrimage to pay homage at the graves of Muslim leaders was wrongly arrested by the Lampung police over the weekend as he closely resembled the country's most wanted terror suspect, Noordin M. Top.

Rahmat Santoso was captured by the police in the vicinity of Bakauheni port in South Lampung, which was heavily guarded by the police.

The Police later released the man, a native of Surabaya, East Java, and of Chinese descent, after learning that he was in the province to visit the grave of local hero Radin Inten.

The National Police has named Noordin and Azahari bin Husin as their most wanted suspects in connection with a string of deadly bomb attacks in the country over the past two years. -- Antara
