Trauma Center opened in Yogyakarta
YOGYAKARTA: Yogyakarta Governor Sultan Hamengkubuwono X said that the existence of a trauma center in the province could save some 85 percent of workers having serious accidents at work.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a trauma center, which is expected to attend to the needs of workers meeting an accident at work, at the state-run Sleman Public Hospital, Sultan said that the center would help reduce the number of workers that die at work.
The center is the fourth trauma center in the country after Jakarta, Palembang, and Surabaya. It is equipped with an ambulance, complete with a set of communications equipment and first-aid medical equipment. --JP
