The public is encouraged to attend in person and liven up the series of events that open the celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. This event also serves as a momentum to strengthen public spaces while campaigning for the environment under the theme ‘Keep Jakarta Clean; Sort Waste’.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government urges visitors to use public transportation when heading to the event location. This is done to reduce traffic density in the Rasuna Said area, known as one of the centres of office and business activities.

Residents can utilise TransJakarta services, LRT Jakarta, and other integrated public transportation modes. Here are some public transportation service routes:

Parking Pockets Prepared

For visitors who still use private vehicles, the committee has prepared parking pockets at four points, namely:

  • Parking at Pasar Festival & GOR Soemantri

  • Parking at Rasuna Epicentrum Area

  • Setiabudi One

  • Nyi Ageng Serang Building

Visitors are urged to arrive early and still prioritise the use of public transportation for a more comfortable journey during the event.

This event features various activities open to the public, including Sehat Bugar Rasuna, Dengar Dekat Betawi, Spekta Jakarta, entertainment, and the revitalisation of the H.R. Rasuna Said Road Corridor.

In addition, there is the Sort Waste Movement, J. Creative Market & J. BUMD Booth, photowall Rekam Jejak Jakarta, and TransJakarta KLG registration services.

The event concept combines Betawi culture with modern urban activities, while presenting an inclusive public interaction space.

Several state officials are scheduled to attend this event, starting from the Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta, the Coordinating Minister for Food, the Minister of Environment, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, to embassy representatives.

The targeted visitors include the younger generation, students, public space communities, environmental activists, business actors, and the general public.

This event is open to the public and serves as a joint invitation to maintain the city’s cleanliness as well as strengthen community participation in welcoming Jakarta towards its 500th year.
