Transport Minister urges logistics transport businesses to comply with operational restrictions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transport Minister (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi has urged logistics transport entrepreneurs to comply with the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) on operational restrictions to ensure the smooth and comfortable flow of the Lebaran 1447 Hijriah return traffic. “The peak of the Lebaran return traffic is predicted to occur in several waves, namely 24, 25, and 27 March 2026,” the Transport Minister said in Jakarta on Monday. He reminded logistics transport entrepreneurs to adhere to the SKB on Traffic and Crossing Arrangements during the 2026 Lebaran transport period, which was established by the Ministry of Transport, the Indonesian National Police, and the Ministry of Public Works. Under the SKB, operations of goods transport vehicles with three axles or more are restricted from 13-29 March 2026, to maintain the smooth flow of mudik traffic and the safety of road users. “This step is important to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of all road users,” he stated. The Transport Minister said that compliance with the regulations is part of a joint effort to ensure that public mobility during the return traffic period is safe, orderly, and smooth. In addition, coordination and discipline among all parties are expected to be maintained until the operational restriction period ends. He also appreciated the logistics transport entrepreneurs who have complied with the goods transport vehicle operational restriction provisions and the Indonesian National Police personnel who have escorted and supervised the implementation of the policy in the field.
