JAKARTA - Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has urged logistics transport entrepreneurs to comply with the rules on truck operation restrictions during the Lebaran 2026 return flow period. The peak of the Lebaran 2026 return flow is estimated to occur in three waves, namely on 24, 25, and 27 March 2026. The truck operation restriction rules are outlined in the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) on Traffic and Crossing Arrangements during the 2026 Lebaran Transport, issued by the Ministry of Transport, the Indonesian National Police, and the Ministry of Public Works. “Facing the Lebaran return flow predicted to occur in several waves, we urge logistics transport entrepreneurs to continue complying with the provisions for restricting goods transport vehicle operations. This step is important to maintain smooth traffic flow and safety for all road users,” Dudy stated in his official remarks on Monday (23/3/2026). Dudy said that compliance with regulations is part of a collective effort to ensure that public mobility during the return flow period runs safely, orderly, and smoothly. Furthermore, Dudy also appreciated logistics transport entrepreneurs who have complied with the provisions, as well as the Indonesian National Police personnel who escort and supervise the implementation of the policy in the field. “We appreciate the logistics business actors who have demonstrated compliance, as well as the Polri ranks who consistently supervise and escort the implementation of this policy. This synergy is important to maintain smooth traffic and public safety,” Dudy said. Previously, the Ministry of Transport had imposed sanctions on 124 owners of goods transport trucks that violated operational rules during the 2026 Lebaran restriction period. In fact, based on RFID data at Km 54 B JORR E from 13-21 March 2026, 158 three- and five-axle trucks were recorded passing and detected as Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL).
