Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the ministry will take action against Green SM taxi company if it is proven to have committed violations in the incident involving the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train and a KRL commuter train at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4/2026). This statement was made by Dudy when asked about the results of the inspection conducted by the Ministry of Transport at the Green SM taxi depot. “We will not hesitate to take action if serious violations are found,” Dudy said during a press conference at Bekasi Timur Station on Wednesday (29/4/2026). The audit covered operational, technical, and human resource aspects. However, Dudy declined to elaborate on the audit results. Meanwhile, the Director General of Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Aan Suhanan, said there were several findings from the spot check conducted. “We want to ensure that the safety management system in public transport companies is implemented in accordance with regulations. From the initial examination results, there are several findings that we will investigate further,” he said, quoted from Antara on Wednesday (29/4/2026). Previously reported, the accident between the KA Argo Bromo and KRL at Bekasi Timur Station started with a Green SM taxi being hit by a KRL on the Bekasi-Cikarang route. The taxi was struck by the KRL after stopping in the middle of the tracks, allegedly due to an electrical malfunction (short circuit). Shortly after, another KRL from the opposite direction stopped and was then hit by the KA Argo Bromo speeding behind it. The locomotive of the KA Argo Bromo crashed into the women’s carriage, resulting in 16 deaths.
