Transport Minister to Summon 124 Logistics Companies for Violating Eid Transport Restrictions
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Transport Minister (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi will summon 124 logistics companies or truck owners that violated the operational restrictions on goods transport during the 2026 Eid holiday period.
This was stated by Dudy after the Joint Return Flow Monitoring press conference in Bekasi, West Java, on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
He explained that no sanctions have been imposed yet, as his side will still summon and warn those companies.
“Actually, we will summon them and issue warnings to those companies. We hope that it does not happen again during the restrictions,” Dudy said.
“We can see now, during the return flow, the compliance level is starting to increase. So it’s also effective that by informing the public about the number of those companies, there has been a decrease in the number of operating trucks,” he added.
According to Dudy, the summoning step will also be accompanied by appeals for business actors to understand that the restriction policy is implemented for the safety of the public during the mudik and return journeys.
“With continuous appeals and emphasis that the restrictions are for the safety of our brothers and sisters travelling for mudik or return, it is hoped that entrepreneurs can understand the intent of the restrictions,” he said.
Dudy stated that the government will evaluate the scheme of rules that have been implemented through the Joint Decree (SKB). The evaluation will be conducted across sectors with related ministries and agencies.
“That will be our evaluation material. We must discuss across sectors, then with the Ministry of Public Works (PU), Police, and other ministries, whether it needs to be elevated from SKB to a higher regulation that provides stronger punitive power,” he said.
Therefore, the government is open to strengthening regulations so that enforcement against violations in the future can be carried out more firmly.
