Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has officially opened the Central Integrated Lebaran Transport Post 2026/1447 H at the Ministry of Transport in Jakarta.

He stressed that the post would serve as the national coordination centre to support the smooth flow of homecoming and return travel during Lebaran 2026, through synergy among all stakeholders involved in organising Lebaran transport operations.

“This is a post where all stakeholders coordinate and prepare everything related to the implementation of homecoming and return travel,” said Dudy at the Ministry of Transport in Jakarta on Friday evening, 13 March 2026.

He confirmed that the post would operate nationally from 13-30 March 2026. Dudy noted that public movement was already visible from the first day of the post’s operation, as the early anticipation period for homecoming travel had begun.

“So we anticipate that from 13 March onwards there will already be movement,” he said.

Several agencies participating in this integrated post include the Traffic Police Commander, the National Search and Rescue Agency, the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency, the National Disaster Management Authority, toll road operators, ferry services, and other relevant ministries and agencies. Cross-sector involvement was considered important to strengthen rapid response to potential disruptions in the field.

Attention was also directed towards congestion-prone areas, including ferry crossings that are frequently the focus of monitoring during the homecoming season, such as Merak and Ketapang.

In addition, the government had implemented operational restrictions on heavy vehicles with three or more axles to maintain smooth traffic flow for travellers.

“So we are not prohibiting, but we are restricting vehicles with three or more axles,” said Dudy.

He added that the Transport Ministry would also monitor discount programmes offered by airlines and other transport operators. This monitoring is conducted to ensure that the benefits of price reductions are truly felt by the public.

“If violations are found, we will issue warnings. In fact, we will impose sanctions if the discount programme does not meet expectations,” he said.
