Transport Agency: Peak Eid Exodus Traffic, 98,000 Vehicles Pass Through Nagreg Route

The Bandung Regency Transport Agency revealed that the peak of the Eid exodus on the Nagreg route took place today, or H-2 Lebaran 1447 Hijriah, on Thursday (19/3/2026). By 2:00 PM WIB, 98,000 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles had passed through Nagreg.

The Public Relations Officer of the Bandung Regency Transport Agency, Eric Alam, stated that the predicted peak exodus on H-2 on the Nagreg route matches the forecasts from the Ministry of Transportation and the police. A total of 98,000 two- and four-wheeled vehicles were recorded passing through the Nagreg route.

“This is evidenced by the traffic counting results we conducted at Nagreg, showing that today alone, as many as 98,000 vehicles have passed through Nagreg up to 2:00 PM WIB,” he said on Thursday (19/3/2026).

He noted that this number is higher than yesterday, Wednesday (18/3/2026), when only 71,000 vehicles had passed by 2:00 PM WIB. Now, it has reached 98,000.

“This is a very significant increase, and I am confident that today will exceed the total number of vehicles over 24 hours from yesterday, with an average of 7,000 vehicles passing through Nagreg per hour today,” he said.

He believes that after 24 hours, it will be confirmed that the peak of the exodus occurred today. Eric mentioned that the dominance of vehicles is still filled with two-wheeled vehicles, reaching 69 percent.

“So the government has promoted as many free exodus programmes as possible, but the public still prefers to go home using motorcycles,” he said.

He added that the trend of the exodus flow on the Nagreg route experiences density after suhoor until 8:00 AM WIB and tends to decrease. Then, around 2:00 PM WIB, it tends to rise until iftar.

“Indeed, the vehicles passing through Nagreg are quite very dense. This is usually people starting to move from Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Bogor; they start moving after iftar and arrive at Nagreg around 12 to 2 AM,” he explained.
