Transparency has become a vital factor in enabling Indonesia’s capital market to advance globally and compete at international levels. Strengthening information disclosure, fostering sound communication between regulators, listed companies and investors, and reinforcing investor relations practices are regarded as foundational to building market confidence. These points emerged during the Road to Indonesia Investor Relations Forum (IRF) 2026 discussion themed “A New Era of Capital Market Transparency,” held at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March.

“It is crucial to establish transparency,” said Mukhamad Misbakhun, Chairman of Commission XI of the People’s Consultative Assembly (DPR) RI.

Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Jeffrey Hendrik acknowledged the importance of communicating the exchange’s accomplishments and future plans. The investor forum is expected to enhance understanding among investors, listed companies and the general public.

“This is an important moment to advance our capital market, and we must continue to communicate this,” said Jeffrey.

Capital market analyst Hans Kwee assessed that discussions within the investor forum would yield positive outcomes in maintaining constructive information flow between regulators, investors and listed companies.

“Good communication facilitates decision-making,” he stated.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kitacomm Henny Lestari added that investor relations play a strategically significant role as a gateway for publicly listed companies to build investor trust whilst maintaining company value in the market. As the number of listed companies in Indonesia increases, the demand for competent investor relations practitioners is growing correspondingly.

Through the Indonesia Investor Relations Forum, now in its second year, Henny hopes the forum can serve as a platform to strengthen standards and develop the investor relations profession in Indonesia.

“As the number of listed companies in Indonesia increases, the demand for competent investor relations practitioners is also growing,” stated Henny.

The Investor Relations Forum brings together key stakeholders, ranging from regulators, listed companies, investors and media, to exchange insights, share best practices and inspire meaningful progress in investor relations practices.
