Transnusa Moves to New Level at Changi; Note This to Avoid Terminal Errors
PT Transnusa Aviation Mandiri (Transnusa) will move all its flight operations in Singapore to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 starting 1 September 2026.
This change applies to all Transnusa flights to and from Singapore. The company stated that the terminal relocation is being carried out in line with the development of Transnusa’s international flight network within the Asia Pacific region.
Group CEO of Transnusa, Datuk Bernard Francis, stated that the operational move to Terminal 4 is part of the company’s efforts to improve service quality for passengers.
“As Transnusa’s international network grows, we want to ensure that the quality of the customer experience also continues to improve,” Bernard said in a written statement received on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
According to him, the passenger journey is not just about the flight, but begins from the moment they arrive at the airport.
“For us, the journey does not begin when the aircraft takes off, but since the customer arrives at the airport,” he said.
Utilising Digital Technology
Changi Airport Terminal 4 utilises a range of digital technologies in the passenger departure process, including automated check-in, automated bag drop, security screening, biometric-based immigration services, and automated boarding processes.
Bernard noted that the use of such technology is expected to make several stages of departure simpler.
“Technology is not just about providing a faster process, but also about making the journey feel more comfortable and simple for customers,” Bernard remarked.
In addition to departure facilities, Terminal 4 features various restaurants, shopping centres, duty-free outlets, and commercial areas. Passengers arriving in Singapore can also continue their journeys to areas such as Marina Bay, Orchard Road, Sentosa, and the Central Business District via public transport networks, including the MRT, buses, taxis, and ride-hailing services.
Expanding the Asia Pacific Network
The terminal relocation is taking place as Transnusa continues to develop its international flight network. Currently, Transnusa serves flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Subang, Bangkok, Phuket, Guangzhou, and Perth. The company also maintains a domestic network with primary hubs in Jakarta, Bali, and Manado.
Bernard stated that the expansion of the flight network must be accompanied by an increase in service quality.
“Network expansion is not just about opening more destinations. Equally important is ensuring that every customer experiences an improvement in service quality on every journey,” he said.
Transnusa stated that the move to Terminal 4 is part of the company’s investment in service development alongside its international expansion.
“Our presence at Changi Airport Terminal 4 is part of Transnusa’s long-term investment to provide a travel experience that is increasingly comfortable, efficient, and aligned with the international service standards we are continuously building,” said Bernard.
Starting 1 September 2026, all Transnusa flights to and from Singapore will operate through Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4. Passengers are advised to check departure and arrival terminal information before travelling.
Not an IDX-Listed Company
Transnusa is the trading name of PT Transnusa Aviation Mandiri, a company operating in the aviation services sector. Transnusa is not a public company, and its shares are not listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
According to information on the company’s official website, Transnula is indirectly part of the Link Asia Group. In the ownership structure detailed in company documents, PT Panca Global International Indonesia is recorded as the holder of 51 per cent of Transnusa’s shares, while the remaining 49 per cent is owned by Linkasia Airlines Group Ltd.
Linkasia Airlines Group is linked to China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Ltd (CALC), an aircraft leasing company whose shares are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the code 1848. Documents from CALC on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange also include the corporate structures of Linkasia Airlines Group and Transnusa.
Transnusa obtained its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) on 9 September 2022. The company subsequently began operating three Airbus A320 aircraft on 6 October, 14 October, and 12 December 2022.
In 2023, Transnusa introduced a new business model as a Premium Service Carrier. The company also commenced its first international flights on 14 April 2023.
In February 2024, Transnusa underwent rebranding as a Premium Service Carrier. This change coincided with the operation of a more modern fleet and an increase in the flexibility and quality of services offered to passengers.
Currently, Transnusa has operational bases in Jakarta and Bali. For its international network, it serves flights to Singapore, Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, and Bangkok. Transnusa describes itself as the second Indonesian airline to serve China and the first Indonesian airline to utilise the Premium Service Carrier business model.
