Transmigration Ministry Achieves First Unqualified Opinion, Minister Stresses Budget Transparency
The Ministry of Transmigration (Kementrans) has received an Unqualified Opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its 2025 Financial Report. This is the first such achievement since the ministry was established around a year ago and reflects that the financial report has been presented fairly, is free from material errors, and complies with Government Accounting Standards (SAP).
The WTP opinion was received directly by the Minister of Transmigration, M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, during the submission of the Audit Results Report (LHP) for the Financial Reports of Ministries/Agencies for the 2025 fiscal year.
“Our commitment is simple but very important: the people’s money must be managed transparently and accountably, and provide real benefits for the development of transmigration areas and the welfare of the community,” Iftitah stated on Saturday (18/7/2026).
He made the statement after receiving the LHP from BPK RI’s Leadership III at the BPK RI State Audit Education and Training Centre (Badiklat PKN) office in South Jakarta on Thursday (16/7).
Iftitah stressed that the WTP opinion is not the final goal, but rather a foundation for continuously improving the quality of governance. “For us, an audit is not merely a supervisory instrument. An audit is a mirror. Through that mirror, we can see more clearly what has been going well, what still needs improvement, and what must be immediately perfected,” the Minister said.
He further expressed confidence that sound financial governance is the basis for achieving the strategic Transmigration Transformation programme approved by the President.
At the event, BPK Leadership III submitted the Audit Results Report to 26 state entities. BPK Leadership III member Prof. Akhsanul Khaq stated that 20 ministries/agencies and 6 foreign loan and grant management financial reports received an Unqualified Opinion. “We appreciate this achievement as the result of the hard work of the Ministers, Heads of Agencies, and all their staff,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), representing all the ministries and state agencies present, emphasised that accountability in state financial management must ultimately lead to tangible benefits for the community. “What we are doing today is to maintain work accountability so that it produces a real impact, because fundamentally the money we use is the people’s money, for which we must be accountable,” he said.
