Transjakarta's 'TJ' App Update Brings Five New Key Features

PT Transportasi Jakarta has launched version 3.0.0 of the TJ: Transjakarta application, introducing five new key features including route recommendations and estimates of carbon emissions and calories burned while using Transjakarta services. “We want the TJ: Transjakarta app to not just be a route finder, but to evolve into a smart mobility companion that helps customers travel more easily, more comfortably, while also being more environmentally conscious,” said PT Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in Jakarta on Sunday. He detailed the five key features in the application: near real-time service adjustments during emergency conditions or operational disruptions, favourite routes, nearest bus stops, a global search allowing customers to find services with just one keyword, and a companion mode that recommends travel routes while displaying estimated carbon emission reductions and calories burned during the journey. The TJ: Transjakarta application has currently been downloaded more than two million times. According to Welfizon, this reflects public trust in Transjakarta’s digital services. The application launch was conducted during the Jakarta Sky Fun Run 2026 on the Corridor 13 elevated track, which was attended by more than 5,000 runners. The momentum of JSFR 2026 was used to strengthen the low-emission lifestyle campaign through the use of public transport. Through this activity, Transjakarta also aims to demonstrate that public transport innovation is realised not only through service improvements, but also through digital transformation and the application of sustainability principles that benefit society and the environment.
