Transjakarta Shuttle Bus at Bekasi Timur Station Blocked by Angkot Drivers
JAKARTA - Transjakarta shuttle bus service on the route from Bekasi Timur Station to Bekasi Station was temporarily blocked by angkot (city minibus) drivers in Bekasi City on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
The service was provided to help the mobility of people affected by travel disruptions due to a train accident at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4/2026) night.
Information about the blockage circulated on social media via the X account @tfbekasiraya.
The accompanying narrative stated that the shuttle bus for affected passengers was blocked amid an emergency situation.
“During a disaster like this, how can they still find time to play at blocking transport? Once the evacuation is finished, it will all be over anyway,” the caption on that account stated, as quoted by Kompas.com on Tuesday.
Regarding the incident, the Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, expressed apologies for the temporary obstacles that occurred.
She emphasised that the service is now operating normally to serve customers.
“Transjakarta thanks all parties for their support,” Ayu said when confirmed on Tuesday.
It is known that Transjakarta operated four shuttle bus units from Bekasi Timur Station to Bekasi Station to assist KAI Commuter passengers affected by operational disruptions on the Cikarang-Bekasi line due to the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train colliding with a KRL.
The service was prepared to ease congestion and facilitate passenger mobility following the accident between KA Argo Bromo Anggrek and the KRL Commuter Line at Bekasi Timur Station.
“This service is specifically provided to facilitate customers stranded at Bekasi Timur Station so they can continue their journey to Bekasi Station,” Ayu said.
