Transjakarta separator on Gatot Subroto shifted for pavement works

The Transjakarta separator on the northern side of Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto is being temporarily shifted to support pavement construction and improvement works, along with complementary structures.

The traffic management measure is intended to maintain lane consistency while reducing the impact of congestion during the works.

Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, said in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday that the separator relocation is being carried out in stages, according to conditions on the ground and following the phases of construction.

During the works, Transjakarta buses will share lanes with other vehicles (mixed traffic) in the affected areas.

“We are adjusting the arrangements to conditions on the ground and will continue to evaluate them so that public mobility can continue to function,” Budi said.

The works are taking place on the northern side of Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, starting from in front of K-Link Tower to the Pancoran intersection in front of Graha Mustika.

Segment 2 runs from Jalan Rasamala Raya to in front of Graha Mustika, approximately 200 metres in length, from 13 September to 31 October 2026. Segment 3 runs from in front of K-Link Tower to Jalan Dukuh Patra, also approximately 200 metres, from 4 October to 14 November 2026.

As part of the pavement improvement works, drainage works are also being carried out. During this period, there will be a reduction or narrowing of the carriageway to accommodate safety barriers for the works.

The work area will also be adjusted according to traffic density and the dimensions of the work barriers.

On the northern side segment of the Pancoran Transjakarta bus stop, road widening is also being undertaken to optimise lane consistency in the area.

“Because the works are being carried out in stages, the traffic management will also adjust to the progress of works in each segment,” Budi said.
