Transjakarta Provides Shuttle Service for Commuter Line Passengers from Bekasi Timur

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is providing a shuttle bus service at normal fares to transport Commuter Line passengers from Bekasi Timur Station to Bekasi Station, in response to a train accident that occurred on Monday (27/4) night. “Transjakarta is deploying four bus units specifically functioning as shuttles,” said Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Ayu stated that the fleet is fully prepared to assist the mobilisation of Commuter Line passengers during the ongoing railway evacuation process. “We hope the evacuation process in the field runs smoothly, safely, and without obstacles, and that all affected parties are granted strength and resilience,” she said. Meanwhile, early Tuesday, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) announced that for the time being, Bekasi Timur Station will not serve passenger boarding and alighting activities as a result of the operational incident that occurred in the Bekasi Timur Station area, Jakarta Operation Region 1. “We extend our apologies to all customers for the inconvenience caused. Currently, our primary focus is handling the situation at the location and ensuring the safety and service for customers remain fulfilled,” said VP Corporate Communication of KAI, Anne Purba. For the public planning to travel by train, they may temporarily use services via Bekasi Station until further notice. Operations on the Bekasi line are still experiencing adjustments in line with the ongoing handling process in the field. Anne conveyed that KAI continues to coordinate with all relevant parties to accelerate the handling process and service recovery so that operations can return to normal as soon as possible.
