Transjakarta Prepares Special Services for Eid 2026

JAKARTA – PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is preparing special services during the 2026 Eid transportation period to ensure safety, smoothness, and anticipation of increased public movement. These operational adjustments will run from 13 to 29 March 2026, covering various service aspects from additional routes to changes in operating hours. The measures are intended to support the flow of mudik travel, return journeys, and public mobility to various tourist destinations in the capital. “PT Transjakarta ensures that the implementation of these special Eid services will not disrupt the performance and quality of existing regular routes,” he said in a written statement (19/8/2026). One of them is the reactivation of route 10C connecting Tanjung Priok Port as a shuttle service for mudik travellers using sea transportation. This route will operate during the Eid period with service times adjusted to ship arrival schedules. To maintain connectivity around the clock, the AMARI or Night Transportation service will continue to operate 24 hours on several main corridors. On the other hand, Transjakarta is also preparing special EID routes that will operate from 25 to 27 March 2026 in the early hours. On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, Transjakarta’s operational schedule will be adjusted. New services will start at 09.00 WIB to give drivers and staff the opportunity to perform Eid prayers. Interestingly, the public can also enjoy a special fare of Rp 1 on Eid day itself. In addition, during the Eid holiday period, Transjakarta will strengthen services to popular tourist areas in Jakarta such as Ancol, Ragunan, TMII, Kota Tua, and Monas. These routes will operate with adjusted service hours to accommodate the surge in visitors. Through these various adjustments, Transjakarta aims to ensure that public transportation services remain optimal and reliable during the Eid moment, for mudik needs, family visits, or public recreation.
