Transjakarta Prepares Open-Top Buses for Enjoying Lebaran
Through open-top buses, customers are invited to explore historic areas that form the foundation of Jakarta’s birth, while enjoying the city landscape from a different perspective. ‘Open Top Tour of Jakarta’ route Jakarta Batavia is the result of a collaboration with Sarinah,’ said Director of Business and Asset Utilisation at PT Transjakarta, Fadly Hasan, in Jakarta on Thursday. He stated that a new route, ‘Jakarta Seaside’, developed in partnership with PIK Tourism, takes passengers to modern coastal areas. ‘It showcases Jakarta’s new face as a global city with flagship tourism destinations,’ said Fadly. This service is part of the ‘Mudik ke Jakarta’ Programme, as a follow-up to the directives of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo to present inclusive and affordable holiday alternatives for the community. The programme is an effort by the local government to ensure that the public can still enjoy quality Lebaran holidays without having to travel far, while revitalising Jakarta as an attractive urban tourism destination. ‘Mudik ke Jakarta’ is designed as an integrated tourism experience based on public transport that combines mobility, city exploration, and cultural experiences in one safe, comfortable, and memorable journey. Through TJStore, customers can obtain exclusive merchandise while collecting ‘Stamp Edition Open Top Tour of Jakarta’ available at TJStore Pos Bloc and TJStore Ratu Plaza. ‘Lebaran is a moment of togetherness and we want customers to also enjoy Jakarta in a different way,’ he said. Through this programme, Transjakarta not only delivers customers to their destinations but also presents enjoyable, memorable, and story-filled travel experiences.
