Transjakarta passengers, beware
Transjakarta passengers, beware
From Kompas
With my intended destination being the Dukuh Atas bus stop, I went by Transjakarta bus -- plying the Hayam Wuruk-Blok M route -- in the evening of Dec. 13, when the bus was packed with passengers.
At the Bank Indonesia bus stop, a number of neatly dressed men got on the bus and crowded around the doors, blocking people's passage. I was suspicious because their hostile faces suggested that they were not office employees.
As I got off the bus, I was concentrating on protecting my cell phone in the front pocket of my pants and my wallet in the back pocket, while forgetting my Montblanc ballpoint in my shirt pocket. Only at home did I realize that my ballpoint was gone.
Passengers should, therefore, be fully alert when traveling by Transjakarta buses as their safety against such crimes is not guaranteed.
