Transjakarta partners with the Ministry of Manpower to launch large-scale recruitment
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has teamed up with the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) to launch a large-scale recruitment drive for the transport sector through the “Transjakarta Ecosystem Hiring Festival” in Jakarta on Sunday.
“Through this festival we are opening space for young talents to join the Jakarta transport ecosystem,” said Mayangsari Dian Irwantari, Director of Finance, Human Resources (HR) and General Affairs at Transjakarta.
Mayang noted that the programme is a collaborative effort to expand job opportunities while strengthening the workforce in the development of Jakarta’s public transport system.
“Our collaboration with Kemenaker is a strategic step in supporting job creation while improving the quality of public transport services,” she said.
The event in Jakarta drew an enthusiastic response from job seekers.
Since registration opened, more than 800 applicants have registered to participate in the selection processes for a range of positions offered within the Transjakarta ecosystem.
“Up to yesterday more than 800 applicants had registered, and specifically on Friday, 60 candidates directly attended the walk-in interview stages,” she added.
She explained that the selection process at the festival is carried out directly using the walk-in interview mechanism.
A “walk-in interview” is a recruitment method where applicants can directly visit the company site, submit documents and undergo interviews without the need to make an appointment or receive an official invitation beforehand.
This scheme allows companies to screen potential candidates more quickly and transparently, while giving job seekers the opportunity to demonstrate their competencies directly.
One of the required positions is bus drivers, who form the frontline in ensuring safe and professional public transport services.
In addition, the company is opening opportunities for IT personnel to support the development of digital-based service systems.
This move aligns with the transformation currently being undertaken by Transjakarta to deliver a more modern and integrated transport service.
Mayang also explained that strengthening the technology sector is a primary focus for the company in improving service quality to the public.
The collaboration between Transjakarta and Kemenaker also reflects the synergy between the government and industry in improving national human resource quality.
Through the partnership, Mayang hopes to create more inclusive job opportunities while supporting the development of the public transport sector in Indonesia.
Transjakarta reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to deliver a professional and open recruitment system to attract the best talent.
Chosen candidates are expected to support the sustainability of safe, reliable, and customer‑oriented public transport operations.
