Transjakarta Partners with BRI to Launch "QRIS Tap" to Facilitate Payments
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has partnered with Bank BRI to introduce “QRIS Tap” technology through the BRImo application, enabling customers to purchase Transjakarta tickets more conveniently.
“Transjakarta customers can now use the BRImo application to purchase Transjakarta tickets with QRIS Tap from today,” said Fadly Hasan, Director of Business and Asset Utilisation at PT Transportasi Jakarta, during the launch of BRImo Tap at CSW Bus Stop, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Fadly stated that this strategic collaboration aims to facilitate customer transactions for public transport payments in a more practical, swift, and inclusive manner. Through the use of “QRIS Tap” technology, customers now have an increasingly diverse range of payment methods without needing to carry physical cards.
“The collaboration with BRI through the QRIS Tap feature in the BRImo application is expected to provide convenient payment access for the community and support an increasingly integrated public transport ecosystem,” he said.
Currently, the use of BRImo “QRIS Tap” is accessible at 568 entry gates out of a total of 14 BRT Transjakarta corridors and 1,950 tap-on-bus (ToB) devices on non-BRT buses.
For information, BRImo “QRIS Tap” payments can be used by Android users equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable contactless data transfer between devices.
The steps for using the service are as follows:
Customer logs into the BRImo application.
Customer presses the QRIS button on the homepage.
The QRIS Tap button appears (for tap in).
A list of active transactions appears (for tap out).
Enter the BRImo PIN.
The transaction page is displayed.
A notification confirming successful tap in/tap out appears.
