Transjakarta Opens Tourist Routes to Ancol and National Monument During Eid Holiday

JAKARTA — PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is preparing a special tourist route service during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday to facilitate public mobility to popular destinations in the capital city.

This service will operate from 18 to 24 March 2026 with extended operating hours into the evening.

“This step is a follow-up to the 2026 Eid Period Operation Plan Letter from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency to support the smooth flow of outbound and return traffic, as well as access to tourist locations,” said Welfizon Yuza, President Director of PT Transjakarta, in an official statement on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

For residents heading to terminals, railway stations and ports, Transjakarta is making several adjustments, including:

Connecting Tanjung Priok Port–Tanjung Priok as a shuttle service for holidaymakers using maritime transport. This route operates 13–29 March 2026 with operating times adjusted to ship arrival schedules.

Routes passing through intercity railway stations (Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station) and transit stations will have their operating hours extended until 23:59 WIB during 25–29 March 2026.

24-hour bus operations remain available on main corridors (Corridors 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14) to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

Specifically on 25–27 March 2026, assistance routes (EID1–EID5) will be opened connecting Pulo Gebang Terminal to various other terminals in Jakarta (Senen, Tanjung Priok, Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Minggu, and Kalideres) from 00.00–05.00 WIB.

On the first day of Eid al-Fitr (21 or 22 March 2026), bus operations are scheduled to start later. Buses will begin operating at 09.00 WIB to allow drivers and field personnel to perform the Eid prayer.

Additionally, the public can enjoy Transjakarta services at a special fare of Rp1 on Eid day.
