Transjakarta opens collaboration opportunities for bus stop naming rights

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is opening up wide opportunities for the private sector to collaborate through its bus stop naming rights programme, as a form of support for the development of modern, inclusive and sustainable public transport.

“Transjakarta is an open collaboration platform. Transjakarta is not merely a bus operator, but a vehicle through which the private sector, government and society can synergise for the progress of the city,” said Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday.

He emphasised the importance of multi-sector collaboration in building urban transport.

On Thursday (9 July), Transjakarta partnered with ParagonCorp to officially inaugurate the naming rights of Swadarma ParagonCorp stop, along with the stop’s revitalisation.

The inauguration was a follow-up to the signing and launch of the cooperation initiated by both parties last year.

Other stops operating under the naming rights scheme include Bundaran HI Astra, Senayan Bank DKI, Widya Chandra Telkomsel, Cawang Sentral 1 Polypaint, Petukangan D’MASIV, Senen Toyota Rangga, and Setiabudi Integritas.

The naming rights collaboration is described as a manifestation of a shared commitment to delivering modern, inclusive and sustainable public transport facilities for Jakarta’s residents.

The revitalisation of Swadarma ParagonCorp stop is also claimed to prioritise inclusivity and sustainability through the provision of supporting facilities such as lifts for people with disabilities and the elderly, as well as the construction of a new, safer and more comfortable pedestrian crossing bridge (JPO).

The stop is a crucial point serving heavy public mobility on the elevated corridor. It serves customers on Corridor 13 (Ciledug–Tegal Mampang), Route 13B (Puri Beta–Pancoran), and Route 13E (Puri Beta 2–Kuningan Flyover).
