Transjakarta Now Serves Soekarno-Hatta Airport: Route and Fares Announced
Travellers heading to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from Jakarta can now access the airport using Transjabodetabek bus services.
The Transjabodetabek route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) is scheduled for inauguration and commence operations from today, Thursday 12 March 2026.
“Regarding the ticket price, I have not yet decided, but there will be one, and until Eid al-Fitr it will be the same as the existing fare (Rp 3,500),” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday 10 March 2026.
Pramono stated that one consideration for setting the passenger fare on this route is the presence of several stops along the journey to the airport that also incur costs.
“Why? Because it turns out that to reach the airport there are three stops that also have associated costs. But when the time comes we will decide,” Pramono continued.
He is confident that the presence of this route can serve as an alternative transport option for residents wishing to travel to the airport at more affordable costs.
“But what is clear is that it will definitely be much cheaper compared to other forms of transport or taxis,” said Pramono.
According to Kompas.com, PT Transjakarta General Director Welfizon Yuza stated that the new Transjabodetabek route will depart from Blok M, passing through Sudirman, MPR/DPR, enter the toll road, then stop at roadside stops (sidewalk stops) before finally reaching Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“So it will be the Metrotrans with the orange colour, which has a low floor, so that moving luggage and other items will be relatively easier. And it will stop at the side, at sidewalk stops. So it is not connected in the centre,” said Welfizon.
