Transjakarta will implement a number of service modifications during the celebration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day on 17 August. These modifications will be applied to several routes.

Quoted from TransJakarta’s Instagram account @infotije on Sunday (16/8/2026), the modifications are being implemented to adjust to the traffic engineering measures in place. Some routes will have adjusted operating hours, while others will have service modifications. The details are as follows:

Operating hours adjusted to 05.00 WIB - 18.00 WIB:

  1. 1B Palmerah Station - Dukuh Atas Transport Hub

  2. 1H Tanah Abang - Gondangdia Station

  3. 1P Senen - Blok M

  4. 1R Senen - Tanah Abang

  5. 4C JIEP - Senayan Roundabout

  6. 6A Ragunan - City Hall via Kuningan

  7. 6B Ragunan - City Hall via Semanggi

Service modifications:

  1. Route 1 Blok M - Kota: Diverted via corridor 13 and corridor 9, serving Tegal Mampang, Rawa Barat, Pasar Santa, Tegal Parang, Widya Chandra Telkomsel, Denpasar and Simpang Kuningan bus stops. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 23.00 WIB.

  2. Route 2 Pulo Gadung - National Monument: Temporarily not serving National Monument, City Hall and Gambir 2 bus stops. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 23.00 WIB.

  3. Route 3 Kalideres - National Monument via Veteran: Temporarily not serving National Monument bus stop, and will serve Pecenongan and Juanda bus stops instead. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 23.00 WIB.

  4. Route 1A Pantai Maju - City Hall: Temporarily diverted, not serving National Monument and City Hall bus stops, and will serve Pecenongan and Juanda bus stops instead. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  5. Route 2A Pulo Gadung - Rawa Buaya: Diverted via Juanda and not serving City Hall and Gambir 2. Will serve Gambir, Istiqlal, Juanda, and Pecenongan bus stops instead. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  6. Route 5C Cililitan - Juanda: Temporarily diverted, not serving National Monument and City Hall bus stops, and will serve Istiqlal and Gambir bus stops instead. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  7. Route 7F Kampung Rambutan - Juanda via Cempaka Putih: Temporarily diverted, not serving National Monument, City Hall, and Gambir 2 bus stops, and will serve Istiqlal and Gambir bus stops instead. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  8. Route 14A National Monument - Jakarta International Stadium: Temporarily not serving National Monument bus stop. Modification times are 07.30 WIB - 11.30 WIB and 16.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  9. Route 5M Kampung Melayu - Tanah Abang via Cikini: Temporarily diverted, not serving City Hall 1 bus stop up to opposite MNC Center, and will serve Gambir Station 1 bus stop up to Galeri Nasional instead. Modification times are 18.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

  10. Route 9D Pasar Minggu - Tanah Abang: Undergoing route modification via Slipi. For the Pasar Minggu direction, temporarily not serving Jembatan Serong bus stop up to Benhil 1, while for the Tanah Abang direction, not serving Benhil 2 bus stop up to opposite Jembatan Serong. Modification times are 18.30 WIB - 22.00 WIB.

There is traffic engineering in place. The Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared traffic engineering measures for 17 August. Motorists are advised to avoid several roads around the National Monument area in Central Jakarta.

The traffic engineering is being implemented due to the Heritage Flag Delivery and Return Procession as well as the Independence Day commemoration ceremony. The Heritage Flag Procession will take place in two sessions. The delivery procession is scheduled for 07.30-09.30 WIB, while the return procession will take place at 17.45-18.30 WIB.

“To support these activities, situational traffic engineering is being implemented around the relevant areas,” according to information from the Jakarta Transportation Agency quoted from its official Instagram account, @dishubdkijakarta, on Friday (14/8).

The Jakarta Transportation Agency stated that traffic diversions will be in effect from 07.30-11.30 WIB and 16.30-18.30 WIB.

The following six roads will be affected by the traffic engineering:

  1. Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat

  2. Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara

  3. Jalan Veteran I

  4. Jalan Veteran II

  5. Jalan Veteran III

  6. Jalan Majapahit east side, northbound towards southbound.
