Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transjakarta is increasing the frequency of services on integrated routes with stations and terminals by 20-50 per cent compared to regular days during the 2026 Lebaran return flow. “This step is taken to anticipate an increase in the number of customers from main arrival points such as train stations and intercity bus terminals, which are predicted to experience a peak return flow at the end of March,” said Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. The service additions are focused on Gambir Station, Pasar Senen Station, Manggarai Station, Tanah Abang Station, and Pulo Gebang Terminal. “At these locations, Transjakarta ensures a higher availability of fleet than on regular days, while accelerating headway to avoid passenger congestion,” said Ayu. During the period of 13–29 March 2026, Transjakarta is also extending operating hours until 11:59 PM WIB and adjusting operational patterns to follow the arrival schedules of train and AKAP bus passengers. In addition to strengthening integration, Transjakarta continues to operate 24-hour services on main corridors such as Corridor 2 (Pulo Gadung - Monas), 4 (Pulo Gadung - Galunggung), 5 (Kp Melayu - Ancol), 11 (Kp Melayu - Pulo Gebang), and 14 (JIS - Senen). Specifically, there is also an addition of 11 fleet units at Pulo Gebang Terminal on 25–27 March 2026 as a response to the peak return flow. “During the return flow period, customer movement patterns differ from regular days. Therefore, we are strengthening services on routes directly connected to stations and terminals by up to 50 per cent so that customers can continue their journeys more quickly and comfortably,” said Ayu.
