Transjakarta Fare of Rp 12 Takes Effect Today, Check the Requirements

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is offering a special fare of Rp 12 for all journeys to mark its 12th anniversary. This Rp 12 Transjakarta fare applies for the entire day on Friday (27/3/2026), from 00:00 to 23:59 WIB. The special fare can only be enjoyed by customers who pay via the TJ:Transjakarta app. Head of Public Relations and CSR at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, stated that this policy is a form of appreciation to the community that has been loyal in using public transportation services in the capital. In addition to appreciation, the programme is also intended to encourage the public to switch to a digital ecosystem in using urban transportation. Through the TJ:Transjakarta app, customers can access various features, from ticket payments, route information, to practical trip planning. Transjakarta urges the public to download the app before travelling to take advantage of the special fare without hassle. Peak usage occurred on 22 March 2026 with a total of 697,519 customers in one day, an increase compared to 438,028 customers the previous day. According to Ayu, this surge aligns with the public’s enthusiasm in utilising the Transjakarta Rp 1 fare policy implemented during that period.
