Transjakarta Extends Operating Hours to Railway Stations During Eid Holiday
JAKARTA — PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has extended the operating hours of buses serving major intercity railway stations, including Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station, as well as transit stations during the Eid holiday period.
This measure aims to facilitate public mobility for holiday travellers returning to their hometowns or enjoying the Eid break.
“Operating hours have been extended until 23:59 on 25–29 March 2026,” said Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in an official statement on Wednesday (18 March 2026).
In addition, Transjakarta is opening Route 10C as a special shuttle service for holiday travellers using sea transport. This route connects Tanjung Priok Port and will operate from 13–29 March 2026.
For those not travelling, Transjakarta is preparing special tourism routes during the Eid holiday to facilitate public access to popular destinations in the capital. This service operates from 18–24 March 2026 with extended evening operating hours.
“This measure is a follow-up to the 2026 Eid Operating Plan issued by the Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency to support smooth outbound and return traffic flows, as well as access to tourist locations,” said Welfizon.
For regular services to tourist attractions, buses operate from 05:00 to 23:59. Meanwhile, tourist buses operate from 10:00 to 17:00.
Welfizon added that 24-hour bus service remains available on main corridors (Corridors 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14) to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
Specifically on 25–27 March 2026, auxiliary routes (EID1–EID5) will be opened connecting Pulo Gebang Terminal to various other terminals in Jakarta (Senen, Tanjung Priok, Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Minggu, and Kalideres) from 00:00 to 05:00.
On the first day of Eid (21 or 22 March 2026), bus operations will start later at 09:00 to allow drivers and field staff to perform Eid prayers.
The public can also enjoy Transjakarta services at a special rate of Rp 1 on Eid day.
