Transjakarta extends operating hours for PIK 2-Blok M route during Java Jazz Festival

Visitors to the 2026 Java Jazz Festival at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 will have extended access to public transport. PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has extended the operating hours of the Transjabodetabek T31 route between PIK 2 and Blok M for the duration of the music festival from Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May 2026.

Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR at PT Transportasi Jakarta, stated that the service adjustment supports public mobility during one of Indonesia’s largest music festivals.

“Transjakarta continues to provide responsive services to meet public mobility needs. The extended operation of the T31 route is expected to facilitate public transport access for Java Jazz Festival 2026 attendees, particularly for late-night return journeys,” she said in a statement.

During the three-day festival, the T31 route will operate from 5am to midnight, longer than the usual service ending at 10pm.

According to Ayu, the additional operating hours are specifically to accommodate returning attendees after the event concludes in the evening. This ensures the public has alternative transport options to return to various parts of Jakarta without relying on private vehicles.

She urged the public to utilise public transport for travel to and from the event venue.

“Transjakarta encourages the public to use public transport as a mobility option for attending and returning from the event,” she added.
