Transjakarta extends charitable aid to hundreds of orphans and people with disabilities in East Jakarta
To mark the blessed month of Ramadan, PT Transjakarta again stepped into the community through a warm social care initiative. Embodying the spirit of togetherness, we organised a charitable distribution and a goodwill visit for orphans and people with disabilities at RPTRA Kampung Pulo Asri, East Jakarta, said the Director of Finance, Human Resources and General Affairs of Transjakarta, Mayangsari Dian Irwantari, in Jakarta on Saturday.
The activity forms part of the company’s social care initiative as well as an effort to strengthen ties with the communities around its operational area.
The event, held in a warm and convivial atmosphere, was attended by Transjakarta management and residents of the Pinang Ranti neighbourhood.
Through this activity, Transjakarta distributed aid to 111 orphans and people with disabilities.
“The charitable activity expresses the company’s gratitude for the public’s trust who have used Transjakarta’s public transport services,” said Mayang.
“For us, sharing is the heartbeat of the company’s corporate social responsibility. We believe that every success achieved by Transjakarta carries a mandate to help others. There are rights of those in need in every step of our progress,” Mayang explained.
“Through this activity, Transjakarta hopes to bring joy to orphans and disabled people so that they can feel the happiness of Ramadan.”
“In addition, the activity also serves as a means to strengthen the ties between the company and the communities around its operational area.
“Transjakarta also hopes that its presence will not only provide easier mobility for Jakarta residents, but also deliver a positive social impact for the community.
“In line with the company’s commitment, Mayang said, Transjakarta continues to strive to transform not only in improving service quality and fleet reliability, but also in delivering sustainable social programmes.
“We hope this activity becomes a field of blessings for all parties. May the spirit of sharing inspire us all to continue moving forward with goodness, both on the bus and off the routes,” she added.
