Transjakarta Corridor 9 Route Diverted Following Overturned Truck Incident Outside Parliament Building

An overturned truck caused severe traffic congestion outside the DPR/MPR building, affecting Transjakarta bus services. Transjakarta Corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti–Pluit) has been rerouted due to traffic density around the parliament building.

“Corridor 9: Pinang Ranti–Pluit is experiencing a route diversion owing to traffic congestion around the DPR/MPR building,” Transjakarta stated via its official X account on Thursday (12 March 2025).

Bus operations in the Pluit direction are partially affected. Buses using the Petamburan Toll Road are not servicing the Gerbang Pemuda–Jembatan Tiga stops.

“Whilst operations towards Pluit are running with some buses operating normally serving all stops and some buses via the Petamburan toll route not servicing the Gerbang Pemuda to Jembatan Tiga stops,” Transjakarta confirmed.

At 08.47 WIB, Transjakarta reported several buses experiencing delays. Affected routes include Corridor 9 routes 1W, 3F, 9A, 10H, T31, and S61.

“Corridor 9 routes 1W, 3F, 9A, 10H, T31, and S61 are experiencing arrival delays due to an overturned truck near the DPR/MPR building,” Transjakarta stated.

The truck overturned on Jalan Gatot Subroto, specifically in front of the DPR/MPR building. According to the Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Command Centre (TMC), the truck was lying across the road in the direction of Slipi, with heavy congestion building towards the site.

“05.30: A truck lost control and overturned on Jl. Gatot Subroto in front of the DPR/MPR building heading towards Slipi; traffic flow was monitored as busy and increasingly congested approaching the location,” the TMC reported.

Joint police and city transportation officials deployed personnel to manage traffic at the scene. Officers were visible clearing the congestion and cleaning up fuel spillage from the incident. Footage shared by the Jakarta Metro Police TMC showed motorcycles passing on the left side of the road whilst trucks and cars used the bus lane due to the overturned vehicle blocking the main carriageway.
