Transjakarta Ciledug-Tendean experiences delays due to flooding
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Transjakarta Corridor 13 service (Ciledug - Tendean) is experiencing delays this evening due to waterlogging in the vicinity of the Ciledug area.
“At present, the service is facing significant delays in fleet operations due to waterlogging around the Ciledug area,” said the Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, in Jakarta on Monday.
Ayu stated that there is a build-up of passengers at the CSW integration stop. Therefore, officers are intensively managing passenger flow to ensure collective comfort.
“We are endeavouring to the maximum to alleviate the fleet congestion and continue coordinating with various parties so that operations return to normal as the water recedes,” she said.
In addition, the route of Corridor 8 service (Lebak Bulus-Pasar Baru) has been shortened to Pasar Baru-Kebayoran-Pasar Baru due to waterlogging around Gandaria City.
Previously, the Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported that heavy rain hitting the DKI Jakarta area and surroundings today caused a rise in water levels at the Pesanggrahan Post (Alert Level 3) around 4:00 PM WIB, resulting in several floods in the DKI Jakarta area.
BPBD noted that there are currently two road sections affected by flooding in South Jakarta, namely Jalan Swadarma in Ulujami Subdistrict and Jalan Ciledug Raya (Seskoal) in Cipulir Subdistrict, with water depths of 30-70 cm.
