TransJakarta Bus That Hit Busway Separator on Jl MT Haryono Evacuated, Traffic Returns to Normal
A TransJakarta bus that crashed into a busway separator in front of the Cikoko Stasiun Cawang TransJakarta stop on Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta, has been evacuated. Traffic has returned to normal.
“At 08.15 the bus had been towed,” said East Jakarta Police Traffic Unit Head Kompol Harnas Prihandito when contacted on Monday (22/6/2026).
Based on a shared video, the bus was seen being pulled by a tow truck. Traffic also appeared to have returned to normal, with vehicles seen passing smoothly through the area.
Earlier, the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Management Centre reported congestion in the Halim Baru area heading towards Pancoran as of 06.50 WIB. The congestion began on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo and Jalan DI Panjaitan heading towards Jalan MT Haryono in the direction of Pancoran this morning. The congestion was caused by an accident involving a TransJakarta bus hitting the busway separator.
Meanwhile, TransJakarta had earlier announced delays to its fleet on a number of corridors 7, 9, 10, and routes 4K, 5, 6, 7D, 7P, 7W, 9A, 9C, B11, B21, B41, B51, D11, JAK 20, and JAK 75 due to congestion around Cawang Central Station. However, TransJakarta has now said its buses are operating normally.
“Corridor 9, Routes 4K, 7D, 9A, and 9C at Cikoko Station and Tebet Eco Park Station are now operating normally again, serving customers without diversion,” said TransJakarta via its official X account @PT_Transjakarta.
