Transjakarta Bus Crash into Separator Causes Severe Congestion on Jl MT Haryono

Jalan MT Haryono in East Jakarta experienced severe congestion this morning after a Transjakarta bus crashed into a busway separator in front of the Transjakarta Cikoko bus stop. The accident occurred at 5 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, causing inevitable traffic jams heading towards Semanggi, according to East Jakarta Police Traffic Unit Head Kompol Harnas Prihandito. He stated that while other vehicles could still pass through, heavy density built up around the scene. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident, which is being handled by the Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate. It is not yet known whether the Transjakarta bus has been evacuated. The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Management Centre earlier reported congestion from Halim Baru towards Pancoran as of 6.50 a.m., with tailbacks starting on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo and Jalan DI Panjaitan heading to Jalan MT Haryono. Transjakarta had previously announced delays on several corridors including 7, 9, and 10, as well as routes 4K, 5C, 7D, 7P, 7W, 9A, 9C, B11, B21, B41, B51, D11, JAK 20, and JAK 75 due to the congestion around Cawang Sentral bus stop. However, the operator later confirmed via its official X account @PT_Transjakarta that services at Cikoko and Tebet Eco Park bus stops on Corridor 9 and routes 4K, 7D, 9A, and 9C had returned to normal operations without diversions.
