TransJakarta Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Route Targeted to Start Operations Before Eid al-Fitr
Transjakarta’s Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta International Airport route is targeted to commence operations before Eid al-Fitr 2026.
We are preparing the route to Soekarno-Hatta. Last week we met with Angkasa Pura. Yesterday the MoU (‘Memorandum of Understanding’) was signed, said Welfizon Yuza, Chief Executive Director of PT Transjakarta, as quoted by Antara, on Wednesday 4 March 2026.
Welfizon said the new service route would depart from Blok M, pass Sudirman, MPR/DPR, enter the toll road, and then stop at roadside pedestrian shelters (trotoirs) before finally reaching Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“So the Metrotrans in orange, with a low-floor design, will make luggage mobilisation and so on relatively easier. And the stops will be at the roadside; at the trotoir shelters. So it won’t connect in the middle,” Welfizon said.
According to him, Angkasa Pura supports the plan fully. After all, the airport operator also intends to reduce the number of vehicles entering.
Regarding the stopping points within the airport area, Welfizon said they still need to be aligned with the plan to utilise the cable car (kalayang).
“They want to utilise the kalayang. So this is what we’re determining—the stop point for the TJ bus at the airport. But in principle, at the last meeting, they were positive in supporting it because this would be an additional transport option to reach the airport,” he said.
“Operational hours, for now, will be the regular hours from 5 am to 10 pm,” he added.
He continued that the operating hours to apply later would be adjusted to flight schedules, especially during the Lebaran mudik period.
“While we see the flights, because usually during mudik domestic flights are more common during the day. Regarding fares, so far the policy remains the regular fares, Rp3,500 and Rp2,000 from 5 am to 7 am,” he said.
