TransJakarta Blacklists Perpetrator of Sexual Harassment on 'Sky Route' Bus

A man has been apprehended for allegedly committing sexual harassment on a TransJakarta bus. The incident occurred on the Corridor 13 route heading towards Puri Beta in Tangerang City, Banten. The man was reportedly seen unzipping his trousers before being secured by officers at the bus stop. A video of the suspected perpetrator being detained by TransJakarta shelter officers subsequently went viral on social media. It was reported that the man committed the harassment on the TransJakarta ‘sky route’ bus before being removed at the Seskoal Shelter. Ayu Wardhani, Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department at TransJakarta, stated that the company regrets the incident. She explained that officers immediately took action against the suspect after he was removed from the bus and secured the victim to provide initial assistance. TransJakarta is coordinating with the police regarding the alleged sexual harassment, and the case will be processed according to the law. The company has taken firm action by blacklisting the perpetrator.
