Transjabodetabek route T31 (PIK 2–Blok M) has continued to perform positively since its inauguration on 22 May 2025. PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) records that to date the route has carried 1,409,872 passengers, underscoring strong public interest in an integrated and easily accessible public transport system. Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR at Transjakarta, explained that this achievement reflects growing public confidence in a service that connects residential, business, culinary, and entertainment districts in north and south Jakarta. In its first month of operation, the T31 route served 112,344 passengers. Now, the figure has risen more than tenfold within a year, indicating strong demand for practical and efficient mobility. Wardhani added that the mobility surge is most evident on weekends and holidays, when people utilise the service for recreation, visiting dining hubs, public spaces, and various entertainment destinations along the PIK 2 to Blok M corridor. She noted that this trend shows public transport is becoming part of urban living, not merely a commuter tool. With the T31 route, the public gains easier access to economic activity points, entertainment venues, and public spaces. The service is considered to have effectively met the mobility needs of residents in the Jakarta satellite areas who wish to reach the capital in a more comfortable, safe, and efficient manner. Wardhani also emphasised that the heightened public interest is not confined to the PIK 2–Blok M route alone. Other Transjabodetabek routes have also recorded positive responses as the Jakarta Provincial Government expands inter-regional transport connectivity. This is a positive signal that people are increasingly open to switching to public transport as a daily mobility solution. Transjakarta says it will continue to strengthen service quality by prioritising safety, comfort, and intermodal integration, to facilitate journeys for people from the satellite areas to Jakarta and back.
