Transjabodetabek Blok M–Soetta Route Begins Operations Today, Fares from Rp 3,500 Until Eid
Jakarta – The Transjabodetabek bus route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) officially commenced operations on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that travel fares are estimated to be considerably cheaper than other transport options, including taxis. Whilst fare amounts remain under calculation, the current estimate stands at approximately Rp 3,500 per passenger.
Fare calculations take into account several stopping points along the route to the airport. “The reason is that there are three stops on the way to the airport, each with associated costs. However, we will make a final decision in due course,” Pramono said.
Pramono is confident that this new route will serve as an affordable transport alternative for residents travelling to the airport. “It will certainly be significantly cheaper than using other transport options or taxis,” he added.
The buses utilised are low-entry models painted orange, enabling passengers to more easily transport luggage and baggage. “Moving luggage and such items becomes relatively easier. The terminals are located on the roadside, not integrated into a central station,” said Welfizon.
