JAKARTA — The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially commenced operations of the Transjabodetabek SH2 route between Blok M and Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The Transjabodetabek service will operate daily from 07:00 to 22:00 WIB.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that the Transjabodetabek SH2 route will utilise low-deck buses. The selection of low-deck buses was deliberately chosen to facilitate passengers carrying substantial luggage.

“The first difference is the bus itself. The deck is lower,” said Pramono following the official inauguration of the Transjabodetabek SH2 route in Jakarta on Thursday.

Beyond this, the buses used for the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta service have been specially modified. In the centre of the bus, there is designated luggage storage space where passengers can place their suitcases.

“Of course, when people travel they have many suitcases, and not all suitcases will be able to have dedicated space, so consequently some suitcases will naturally have to be with the passengers. That is the inevitable consequence,” said Pramono.

The Transjabodetabek SH2 route utilises orange-coloured buses, the same type typically used for the Minitrans fleet. Fares for the Transjabodetabek SH2 route have been set at 2,000 rupiah during the period 05:00-07:00 WIB and 3,500 rupiah during 07:00-22:00 WIB. However, these fares will only apply for the first three months.

The Transjabodetabek SH2 route will operate daily from 05:00 to 22:00 WIB with a fleet of 14 buses. The interval between buses (headway) ranges from 10 to 20 minutes.

The new Transjabodetabek route covers a distance of 65.1 kilometres with an estimated travel time of approximately 121 minutes. In total, there are 23 stops along the route, with 13 stops in Jakarta and 10 stops outside Jakarta.
