TransJabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport Route to be Inaugurated Next Week

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung will inaugurate the TransJabodetabek public transport service on the Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) route. The inauguration will take place on 12 March at 9:00 AM.

“We will inaugurate the TransJabodetabek service on 12 March at 9:00 AM,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

However, Pramono stated that the service tariff remains under discussion. The DKI Provincial Government is still calculating the operational cost scheme because the airport route has several stop points that incur additional costs.

“Regarding the ticket price, I have not yet decided, but there will be one. Until Eid al-Fitr it will be the same as the existing fare,” he said.

Pramono emphasised that the tariff will ultimately be significantly cheaper compared to other transport modes to the airport, such as taxis or similar services.

“It will certainly be much cheaper compared to using other transport or taxis,” he explained.

He added that the Soekarno-Hatta Airport route will have several stop points before reaching the airport terminal. This has also been considered in determining the tariff.

“Because apparently to reach the airport there are three stop points which also have costs,” he said.

The DKI Provincial Government hopes the TransJabodetabek service to Soekarno-Hatta Airport will serve as an alternative public transport option for people travelling to and from the airport at more affordable rates.
